June 28th-Compassion Day,how quaint!!!

Read in the paper its compassion day today L.O.L!!!!Well maybe I shouldn't be laughing so hard after all coz in today's man eats man/dog/cat/crickets/anything breathing world I guess it takes a whole day to celebrate being compassionate.How else are all these a-z list celebrities going to get their 15 words of media space telling what compassion means to them and how they are doing their 'bit',almost as if its an endangered thing.In retrospect maybe it is endangered, nowadays there is always a hidden agenda behind people's so called 'compassionate' behavior be it for good PR,desperation for some good karma( as BBT's character Raj says its practically Newtonian),vanity or a whole new bunch of reasons I'm yet to realise. Well the reasons might be galore but one thing I guess is that its not a big 'O' to be faked,either you have it or you don't or may have just a sliver of potential to develop it later because of some miraculous constellation rearrangement(here's hoping!!!) but that's the endline of it coz lets be honest 'a deep awareness of the suffering of another coupled with the wish to relieve it' is not everyone's fortitude.So just stick to cool statements like Amrita Rao's 'feeding underprivileged kids will be how I show compassion' on compassion day.(*rolling eyes thrice over*)
